CLAIRES Court U13s were edged out 19–17 by Reading Blue Coat in the Berkshire County Cup final.
Claires Court found themselves 19–5 down before they bravely fought back only to run out of time.
The team’s rugby coach Gareth Millar said: “We are immensely proud of what the boys achieved this season.
"The character and mental strength they demonstrated to come back into the match was fantastic.
"Blue Coat admitted that if the game had continued for another couple of minutes it could well have been us celebrating.”
Players also got to meet former Claires Court pupil and London Irish and Toulon star Nick Kennedy.
