Reading were pegged back twice by play-off Barnsley to draw 2-2 and seal survival in League One.

Take a look at some reaction from boss Ruben Selles below.

Ruben on the point

"I don’t consider it a very good point; I think we deserved the three points. They were a very good team in front of us and we did a lot of things well. We had chances to go and win the game and we didn’t take our chances to do it. At the end we suffered a little bit, especially after 2-2, so I don’t like the point I thought we deserved more.

Ruben on progress

"I think it’s a signal that we are moving as a team that we can come here and compete with our principles. Now we need to make one more step and finish the chances when we make them. I think it has been there the entire season. In some games we make it and in some games we didn’t, today I thought we should have made it and gotten at least one more goal. I want to believe that it is part of the process. We don’t forget that there are still a couple of games to go, and we must continue growing.

Ruben on attacking intent

"I am pleased with the way we played and the personality we showed coming here. We have ambitions to be better. The teams need to be better, and I need to push them to their limits. We are still in a process.

Ruben on survival

"We need to finish the job. The season is not finished and hopefully, we will restart with things in place and energy to attack the next year. We’ve given everything during the season, and I am proud of how the team has been working and every individual in the football club.

Ruben on Joel Pereira injury

"It was a cut in the upper bit of the eye in the first half. When we came in, he was looking okay but within five minutes there was a bit of blood in the eye, and we didn’t want to risk so we put David on for the second half. Hopefully, he will be ready for next week but if not, we know David can do the job.

Ruben on absentees

"Andy Yiadom and Jeriel Dorsett, after the last game, had knees swelling and it was risky to play the game, so we decided to not take the risk."
