READING FC loanee Yakou Meite appeared to cast doubt over his Royals future with a cryptic tweet this afternoon.
The French forward, who is currently out on loan at FC Socheux Montbeliard, tweeted 'Not number 19 anymore lol' after Reading FC new-boy Leandro Bacuna was handed his former squad number.
Not number 19 anymore lol

It sparked suggestions on Twitter that Meite's future could lay away from Berkshire once he completes his season-long loan.
Instead of whinging he should get his head down to earn number 9. Bad egg this one. We won't see him again #readingfc

Boss Jaap Stam opted to send the 21-year-old Ivorian international back to France in order to gain first-team experience.
However, the Dutchman suggested Meite could return to play a part for the Royals.
He told the media previously "Yakou came from the youth of PSG and never played first-team football. He could play for the U23s and occasionally come into the first team, but he's not ready for that.
"That's why we have loaned him so he can develop as a player, get more experience and hopefully he can come back and do well for us."
