A MAN remains in police custody after the body of a 43-year-old man was found in a flat prompting a murder probe.
The 61-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder after police and paramedics were called to a flat above Reading Repair Centre, in Cardiff Road, Reading.
The body of man, who has not yet been formally identified and whose family have yet to be informed, was discovered at 8.52am on Monday morning.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said a post mortem examination proved inconclusive and toxicology tests were having to be carried out.
The spokesman said: "The death is being treated as unexplained at this time."
Senior investigating officer, Detective Chief Iinspector Gill Wootton, said: “We are in the very early stages of the investigation.
"The circumstances surrounding the man’s death are unclear at this time."
