A YOUNG volunteer is planting forget-me-not seeds as part of a charity’s new fundraising initiative.

Josh Hathaway, from Ascot, is a young volunteer at the Windsor Thames Hospice and is asking supporters to remember a loved one with forget-me-not seeds.

Josh’s grandfather, Bill, was cared for at Thames Hospice and he has shared his family’s story.

They will be remembering Bill this Father’s Day, and Josh said: “Grandad spent 10 days at the Hospice, and the care was out of this world. Without Thames Hospice, we would not have had the valuable time with Grandad prior to his death. We particularly remember being in the hospice, watching Ascot races on the television. This normality helped us through such a difficult time.”

To receive Forget-me-not seeds, simply make a donation at www.thameshospice.org.uk/donate and under ‘What prompted you to donate?’ enter ‘Forget-me-not Appeal’, or call 01753 842121 and speak to the Fundraising Team.
