THE MAYOR was on hand as a primary school celebrated its 20th anniversary with a new ceramic garden.
Mayor Tina McKenzie-Boyle attended Whitegrove Primary School to view the new artwork.
The school opened to students in 1997 and has now celebrated that anniversary with the opening of the gardens.
The ceramic garden was created by a combination of pupils, staff, and school governors.
As well as this, the school collaborated with Clover Lee and Lili Pottery, a finalist in this year’s BBC Great Pottery Throw Down.
Nearly 500 pieces were constructed for the garden, with each representing a woodland creature or plant.
These were then painted, glazed and fired before being safely installed in the garden.
The Bracknell Forest mayor seemed to be in awe at the attention to detail on the pottery, which was hand-painted.
The garden was officially opened on October 16.
