A TOWN centre pub is preparing to reopen after a huge £500,000 refurbishment.

The Boot will reopen this September after an extensive redesign and refit which has taken several months to complete.

Both the interior and exterior have undergone a complete overhaul with the site now set to feature an extended trading area, additional natural lighting from glass roofs and external beach huts for al-fresco dining.

It has also been re-floored and re-decorated throughout with the more formal dining area to be available for private functions and meetings.

Paul Wigham, CEO of All Our Bars, said: "We cannot wait to open what will be a fantastic pub and dining venue with innovative drinks and a fine menu of tantalising dishes.

“The designers have come up with some amazing ideas that really show what a beautiful building this is, it’s looking superb."

The Boot will be extending its existing cask and real ale range and introducing new craft beers and ciders. The offering will also include a wide selection of rare premium spirits and fine wines, while food will be served daily.

The pub will also be opening early for cake and coffee mornings, with a selection of freshly baked cakes and pastries, and will be serving up traditional roasts on Sundays.

Pub owners Greene King and All Our Bars have announced that they plan to reopen and relaunch The Boot with an opening night party on September 7 to coincide with the opening of the Lexicon.
