With just over two weeks to go until the General Election, we have continued our weekly theme of questioning candidates on a specific topic.
This week, the topic was housing.
During the last year, sold prices in Bracknell were up eight per cent on the previous year and 22 per cent up on 2014.
The average Bracknell house sale price in 2016 was £355,921, compared to the national average of £232,885.
In Wokingham, sold prices were up by 13 per cent on the previous year and 29 per cent up on 2014.
Here, most property sales involved detached properties which sold for on average £644,596. Semi-detached properties fetched £426,660, while terraced properties went for £371,641.
Meanwhile, in Ascot sold prices were up by nine per cent on the last year and 11 per cent up on 2014.
In light of these trends, The News asked the General Election candidates for Bracknell, Wokingham and Windsor what they would do to make housing more affordable.
