One woman tackling the race is hoping to honour her cousin by running dressed as a giant toilet roll.
Sue Ridgeon will take on the gruelling 26.2 mile route for Nightingale House Hospice after witnessing the care her cousin received two years ago.
Not only will Sue, from Newbury, be taking on the challenge dressed in a loo paper costume, she plans to break a Guinness World Record by completing the marathon in under five hours.

Sue said: “The care my cousin received was incredible. Nothing was ever too much hassle or bother for the nurses and doctors.
“Staff were always on hand with advice and support for both my cousin and her immediate family.
“The nurses made every effort to ensure she was not in pain and was as comfortable as possible.
"The commitment which was shown to my cousin, and us as her family, throughout her illness was second to none."
Sue surpassed her initial fundraising target of £600 and she has now set her sights on collecting more than £2,000 for Nightingale House.
