A SCHOOL has received generous funding in support of its newly formed nurturing group.
Foxborough Primary School, Common Road, were visited by staff from Radian who delivered a giant £1,000 cheque as part of its If Only fund, which will be used to support children with social, emotional or behavioural difficulties provided by the newly-formed nurturing group.
The initiative has been formed to create a calmer environment, with learning activities for those struggling in the classroom, including working with food.
However, teachers have struggled without a fully fitted kitchen so the funding received from Radian, the social landlord that manages the vast majority of homes at Longwood Park in Langley, will go towards providing them with an oven.
Antonia Spinks, headteacher said: “This room helps the most vulnerable children by providing them with a safe place to learn and flourish, and we are delighted that we have been able to develop the provision into such a warm, welcoming, stimulating and exciting place for the children.”
