Bracknell Bygones: A nationwide speed campaign and a callous thief
Bracknell police officers were involved in a national operation called ‘Kill Your Speed’ back in the autumn of 1997 in an effort to highlight how excessive speed can endanger lives.
The following court cases were heard between April 17 and 26
RITU AULAKH, 49, of St Bernards Road, Slough, admitted drink driving an Audi A5 on Upton Court Road on March 29, 2017. He was fined £1,000, ordered to pay victim services £100 and £85 costs. He is disqualified from driving for 17 months, reduced by 17 weeks if he satisfactorily completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
