Stuart Mogg has been appointed Bracknell Bees' club captain.
"He's an ideal choice," said head coach Doug Sheppard.
"He's the first guy who will do anything to help the team. Last season he won players' player of the year which speaks volumes. Stuart plays the game the right way and will lead by example.”
Mogg, who will be 25 next month, commented: "I am very happy to back playing for Bracknell. After speaking with Shep a lot throughout the summer, it was an easy decision.
"I have played with him for the last seven seasons and I know that he is always striving for excellence and towards the main goal of silverware.
"When Shep asked me to be captain I was honoured and it was an easy decision to say yes. I am looking forward to being a leader, working with Shep more and developing myself as a player, as well as helping the younger players to continue to grow on and off the ice.”
The 6ft Mogg, who can play in both defensive and offensive roles, made 40 appearances for the Bees last season, having joined them from his home-town club Basingstoke.
