The EFL have told clubs to not resume training until the middle of next month at the earliest with a return to action planned for early June, according to reports.
The Telegraph reports that the EFL have informed clubs to begin training again from May 16, in order for players to build match fitness ahead of a return to league action at the start of the June.
The EFL plan to finish the remaining fixtures in 56 days between June and August.
It is understood that the matches will be played behind closed doors.
Players have also been advised to take their holidays now - despite much of the country being in lockdown - as there won't be time to take them after the 19-20 season is completed, according to the report.
