WASHINDI gymnasts returned some impressive results in the first and second qualifying rounds of the National Development Plan competition.

In the opening event, Daniella Fossitt was victorious in the Level One 7-8-year-olds category, with Fred Martin triumphant for the 13-17-year-olds. Mia Gardner was third in the 11-12-year-olds section.

At Level Four, Emily Farrell (11-12) was third, and Anna Wessendorff (13-14) matched that effort at Level Five, where Owen Whittall was runner-up.

Seren Duggan came second in the Level Six class for 13-14-year-olds, while Matthew Morris (R1 Cat 1), Thomas Hue (R1 Cat 2) and Masha Danilova all took gold.

In the second event, the trio repeated their successes in their respective events, while Fossitt Farrell, Wessendorff all came second.

Whittall and Duggan claimed bronze medals.

The club's novice competitors competed in the Club Development (CD) competition and enjoyed fine success as all four who competed gained a podium place.

At the highest level (CD3), Abi Trainer, the newest member at Washindi, gained second place, while Jessica Cunningham and Olivia Hooper both grabbed a gold medal.

Madiba Elhaggagi, in the trampoline for persons with disabilities, was also victorious.
