Reading FC have confirmed that the End of Season Awards Dinner has been postponed as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The event was due to take place on May 2 at the Madejski Stadium, but the club have postponed the event as the result of the uncertainty surrounding the remainder of the Championship season.

In a statement, the club said: "In light of the recent updates regarding COVID-19, Reading Football Club has taken the decision to postpone the End of Season Awards Dinner, an event which was due to take place on Saturday 2nd May at Madejski Stadium.

"The End of Season Awards can’t take place before the season has come to an end, of course.

"And while this event was due to take place the evening after our final game of the campaign against Swansea City, the remaining nine games are yet to be rescheduled due to the global pandemic.

"We will continue to monitor the situation and determine all possible options regarding the rescheduling of the awards dinner and we will further advise fans on plans at the earliest possible opportunity.

"For now though…Stay at home, save lives.
