Reading FC centre-back Tom Mcintyre brushed past former England international Andros Townsend in the first round of the 'Ultimate Quaranteam' FIFA tournament.

It took three games to separate Mcintyre and Townsend, who were both representing Reading and Crystal Palace respectively in the 128-team tournament.

The Royals academy graduate streamed the action on streaming site Twitch, donning a vintage Reading shirt especially for the occasion.

After two draws - Mcintyre pulled away in the second half of the third match, overcoming Townsend's Crystal Palace by four goals to one.

Next up for the Royals defender is a contest against Spanish side Celta Vigo, who are being represented in the tournament by professional player Pablo Zamorano.
