RICHARD Dow bagged a brace, but it proved insufficient for Finchampstead as they were beaten 5-3 by visitors Westwood Wanderers in their Berkshire Trophy Centre Senior Cup quarter-final, writes Richard Ashton.

Daniel Pawson scored the other goal for Finches.

Lewis Butcher and Oliver Bridges were on target for Hurst as they reached the last four following a 2-1 success as Reading City U23, substitute Kristofel Tuffoul netting for the Citizens.

Richings Park advanced to the semi-finals with a 4-2 penalty shoot-out triumph at Wargrave, the two sides having earlier drawn 4-4 after extra time. The two sides had been locked at 2-2 after 90 minutes.

In the Intermediate Cup, Craig Haylett scored twice and Jordan Sawyer was also on target as Mortimer Reserves went through 4-2 at Berks County Reserves.

Lee Bull bagged a brace and Tyriq Stewart was also on target as Maidenhead Town Reserves won 3-0 at Woodley United A, while Henley Town knocked out Marlow United Reserves 2-0.

Jack Childs, Calum Fraser, Charlie Lane and substitute Steve Park were among the goalscorers as Robertswood eliminated Goring United 5-2, Matt Hayden and Harry Voice with the consolation efforts.

Lorenzo Medford and Ryan Adams got the goals as Newbury progressed in the Reading Senior Cup with a 2-0 win at Wallingford Town, while they also beat Cookham Dean by the same margin in the Premier Division as the same duo again got on the scoresheet.

Sam Angel, Duarte Surpanu and replacement Bliss Dideola hit the back of the net for Maidenhead Town in their 3-0 success against Windlesham United.

Leroy Parris got the only goal of the game as Slough Heating Laurencians won 1-0 at Woodcote Reserves in Division One, while Charlie Cooke's effort helped Reading YMCA overcome Rotherfield United via the same scoreline.

Rob Ellis scored twice for Windlesham United Reserves, but they went down 6-2 at home to Hurst Reserves in Division Two.

Phoenix Old Boys defeated Richings Park Reserves 4-2 and Twyford & Ruscombe overcame Harchester Hawks 2-1.

In Division Three, Gabriel Edwards, Gary Nicholls, Angus McWilliam and Richard Bennett were all on target for Pangbourne in their 5-0 rout of Taplow United Development, while a Ryan Allison strike earned Phoenix Old Boys Reserves a point from their 1-1 draw with Hambleden.

Callum Allen scored twice and James Croft also hit the back of the net for Mortimer Wanderers, but they went down 4-3 at Westwood Wanderers Development.

Rob Ellington's goal five minutes from time helped Division Four table-toppers Goring United to a 2-1 home win against Farnham Royal Mavericks, James Hewitt also on target for the hosts.

Andrew Watson was the Farnham goalscorer, while second-placed Taplow United Vets drew 1-1 with AFC Corinthians.
