IT was a quiet weekend at the end of school half-term for the players of FC Bracknell.

However, the Under 12 Youth did see some action, playing a friendly against a Westwood Wanderers side who play in a higher division as they warmed-up for this weekend's cup quarter-final tie.

FCB produced a solid team performance to secure a 4-4 draw in an entertaining game and would have won had it not been for the Westwood keeper, who produced a man-of-the-match performance.

Alfie Daines, Daniel Pring, Alex Di Cosola and Jack Johnstone were all on target for FCB.

FRANZ Meyer bagged a brace and Ben Payne also hit the back of the net as Ascot United Under 18 Royals earned a creditable 3-3 draw with Basingstoke Town.

The U14 Chargers shared the spoils with the same margin against Centre Skills, while the U14 Diamonds eased past Sutton United 4-1.

The U13 Royals defeated Henley Hotspur 2-1.

MAN-OF-THE-MATCH Jake Nickols scored twice for Binfield Chragers Under 9s and Callum Knight and Joshua Linsdell were also on target in their game with FC Bracknell Arrows.

Tommy Spender also played superbly with his strength on the ball and excellent passing skills helping to drive the team forward.

Chargers have received a setback with the news Leo Pointon will miss the rest of the season with a broken shin suffered while skiing.

Speaking on behalf of the team, manager Ben Churchill said: "He's been extremely brave, but we are all going to miss him."

SETH Campbell and Jayden Nhamburo were both in outstanding form for Harts of Bracknell Under 9s Colts in their game with Sandhurst Town Royals.

Vinnie Wilkie was also superb in goal, pulling off one brilliant one-handed save in particular.

Man-of-the-match Tommy Harper, Kyron Eagle and Taion Williams all netted for the U9 Blades in their game at Ascot Wanderers, while Harts of Bracknell Devils battered Curley Park 7-1.

Leo Pancott and Harvey Bird both bagged braces, with the other goals coming from Alfie Hill, Conor Knight and their stand-out performer, the returning Felix Pitt.
