Here are our player ratings after Reading lose at home to West Brom.

Rafael Cabral: 8/10

Without doubt Reading’s best player during the game. Made some crucial saves and couldn’t any about the goals.

Andy Yiadom: 6/10

First game back from injury obviously going to be a bit rusty. Made some great runs along the right flank and whipped in some good balls.

Liam Moore: 5/10

Relativity quiet and steady. Was called out on the first goal but after an average game.

Michael Morrison: 5/10

Very much the same as Moore. Had moments where he was on it but again was out of position. Very average game.

Jordan Obita: 7/10

Caused the Albion defence a few problems and he never gave up. He should be proud of his performance.

Yakou Meite: 6/10

Had moments where he ran the midfield but for large parts of the second half, he disappeared for most of the second half.

Felipe Araruna: 4/10

Still getting used to the English game. He needs time. Passing was good but very much a passenger.

Pele: 7/10

One of the rare glimpses of Reading going forward. Without doubt one of Reading’s better players.

John Swift: 4//10

Was very poor. Good first touch but distribution and over all game wasn’t there today. Just one of those days.

Ovia Ejaria: 5/10

Again, had moments of sheer class as he ran the West Brom defence ragged, but there was no end product.

George Puscas: 7/10

Bossed it first half and it was great to see him score after nearly three months. But he didn’t get the service during the second period and struggled to get the ball. Score based on his first half showing.

Subs

Charlie Adam: 6.5/10

Sprayed a great ball to Rinomhota who scored but his goal was ruled out for offside. He changed the game with his long passing.

Andy Rinomhota: 5/10

Got stuck in and got on the end of a few tackles and had a goal disallowed. But it was all in vain.

Sam Baldock: N/A

No impact on the game to have a score
