DEFENDING Premier Division champions FC Fernhill cut the gap to leaders Crowthorne Inn to just three points – with a game in hand – after they secured a 2-0 success at Loveman United in the only top-flight fixture played on Sunday.
In Division One, third-placed Finchampstead Athletic Reserves boosted their title hopes with a 5-2 home success against Woodley United, Tom Barratt bagging a brace for the visitors.
Basement side Bracknell Athletic picked up their first point of the campaign with a 3-3 draw against Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW.
Division Two table-toppers Bearwood Wanderers extended their lead at the summit to five points following a 3-1 home victory against Newbold, albeit second-placed William Twigg have three games in hand on the leaders.
Ashridge Park Royals climbed to fourth in the standings after a hard-fought 1-0 success at Winnersh Rangers.
In Division Three, Running Horse thumped FC Harmanswater 6-1, while in Division Four, AFC Dukes Reserves rallied from 3-1 down to edge out Bracknell Titans 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller.
Bracknell Cavaliers Reserves moved to the top-of-the-table following their 3-3 draw with FC Showcase.
Daniel McCarthy slammed home two penalties and Bobby Hamblin also hit the back of the net as William Twigg reached the semi-finals of the Junior Cup with a 4-2 victory at Silver Birch, while in the other half of the draw, Bracknell Saint-Germain also advanced to the last four with a comfortable 4-1 success against Braybrooke Athletic.
