TWO goals from Ian Davies and one by Aiden Higgs earned Premier Division leaders Ascot United a 3-1 win over Egham on Saturday.

Bracknell News:

Right-back George Lock was their man-of-the-match.

The game marked the return of Lamin Sankoh, who has rejoined the club from Thatcham, and it completed a good week for Jamie Tompkins' side.

Bracknell News:

Last Wednesday, they won 2-1 at Balham to reach the quarter-finals of the Cherry Red Records Cup with a young side led by 18-year-old James Richardson.

Their team, with an average age of 19, contained two debutants – keeper Sam Hayes and central midfielder Sam Evans.

Bracknell News:

Hayes was beaten in the fourth minute when he could only parry a cross onto the bar with the ball ricocheting off Harry Laflin for an own goal.

But United responded well and Richardson set up a 19th-minute equaliser for Higgs and it was his free-kick which led to Laflin netting the winner in the 64th minute.
