The Reading Chronicle understands that contract talks between Tyler Blackett and Reading have stalled.
Blackett was offered a new two-and-a-half deal earlier this month, as the club looked to secure his future until 2022.
However, it is understood that Blackett has turned this offer down. It is thought that Blackett wants Reading to match or better offers that he has received from other clubs.
Blackett has been linked with a move abroad in the January window, with a number of Turkish sides reportedly interested in the 25-year-old.
