THERE was some high-scoring action in Division Two of the Maidenhead District Netball League at Kidwells Park in midweek.

Apple Travel lead after the first quarter in their match against Frenzy but the opposition pulled clear to take a four-goal advantage into the break. Apple reduced the deficit to three but the fourth period saw both sides go goal-for-goal so Frenzy held on to win 30-27.

It was all level between Windsor Roses and Genesis after the first quarter, but the latter took a three-goal lead into half-time and continued to stretch the advantage with some great shooting to finally win 33-21.

Risers could not field five registered players so had to concede their game against Titans, whilst Firebirds forfeited their match with Blaze due to a discrepancy with paperwork.

In Division Three, Woodley got off to a flying start against Henley to lead by 11 goals at the end of the first quarter. Henley kept on reducing the deficit with each period but were unable to overcome the Reading-based side and suffered a 33-22 defeat.

Meister played Crazies in a tight first half, but Meister took the lead in the third period and did not let it go to win 30-20.

In the tightest game on the court in midweek, Blitz took on Blue Magnets. The Blues led by one goal at the end of the first quarter and continued to pull further clear for a four-goal advantage at the break.

Blitz came back strongly to level the scores at the end of the third period and the fourth quarter went goal-for-goal until the last couple of minutes where Blue Magnets scored twice in quick succession for a 31-29 victory.

Chancers led from the beginning against Havoc and kept the lead throughout to win 26-15 and maintain their unbeaten record this season.

Ants forfeited their game against Bluebirds due to discrepancy with paperwork.

Aftershock took on Bumblebees on court one in Division Four on Wednesday. Despite a fantastic third period, Aftershock were not able to close the gap and were defeated 23-12.

Vixens established an early lead against Blue Magnets 2s and maintained it until the final whistle for a 31-15 success. Unfortunately for the defeated side they were only one goal away from half the points and now sit bottom of the table.

There was a battle for second place on court two between Holidays and Margaritas. Goal for goal in the first quarter, Holidays managed to pull away in the second and further still in the third. A great drive from Margaritas saw them close the gap in the final period for a 29-21 loss.

Rubies dominated in their match against The Crew for the first half for a 34-20 win.

The Dream Dreamers were no match for Red Rockets on court three. Some fantastic shooting from the Rockets saw them take an impressive lead and continue for the remainder of the game to win 23-11.
