Mark Bowen explained it is highly unlikely that his old boss Mark Hughes won't be joining him at Reading.
The new Reading boss spoke to the media at his first press conference on Tuesday and admitted that Hughes won't be joining as part of his staff.
Bowen has been Hughes' assistant at the likes of Manchester City, Blackburn Rovers, QPR and Stoke but the Welshman doesn't see a future alongside the former Wales international striker.
He said: "I haven't spoken to Mark and I wouldn't have thought he would be joining us.
"He is enjoying his time off and playing a lot of golf but he never came into my thinking. He is enjoying the sunshine too much."
