MARLOW are now four matches without a win in all competitions at Oak Tree Road after a 2-0 defeat against Uxbridge in the Isthmian South Central Division on Tuesday, writes Rob Stevens.

Goals in the second half from Mahlondo Martin and Jack Beadle secured all three points for the visitors.

The Blues suffered a 4-2 loss at home to Chertsey Town, who won the FA Vase last season, on Saturday.

A goal from Charlie Samuel gave Marlow the lead inside three minutes but Scott Day equalised for the visitors soon after.

The home team restored their advantage through Devontae Romeo, but Chertsey led at the break thanks to a goal from Michael Peacock plus a Jake Baxter penalty.

The away team secured all three points with a goal from Lubomir Guentchev four minutes into the second half.

The defeats mean Marlow have dropped five places to 11th position in the league table ahead of a trip to unbeaten league leaders Westfield this Saturday (3pm).

Chalfont St Peter returned to winning form in the league after a 5-1 win at Hertford Town on Tuesday.

The Saints took a clear lead heading into the break at Hertingfordbury Park thanks to a hat-trick from Dan Williams.

The visitors further extended their advantage through Luke Illsley in the second half before Prince William Domafriyie pulled a goal back for Hertford, but Chalfont had the last say when Kahlil Francis netted seven minutes from time.

The Saints suffered a first defeat in the league this season when going down 2-1 at Ware on Saturday.

Goals in the first half from Leigh Rose and Alaa Oujdi gave Ware a clear lead heading into the break at Wodson Park, before Arash Abdollah pulled one back in the final minute of normal time.

The results mean remain in fourth position in the table ahead of a visit to Mill Meadow from Bracknell Town this Saturday (3pm).
