WOODLEY United endured a difficult Saturday afternoon as they were thumped 6-0 by Penn & Tylers Green in their Division One East clash at Rivermoor Stadium.

The Kestrels actually began brighter, but after Penn's Ollie Saunders had struck the post on 10 minutes, the visitors were the better side.

Tom Fifield put Penn in front in the 24th minute, and it was 2-0 by the interval as James Hancock fired home. The away side continued to dominate the second period, and added to their goals tally with strikes from Dean Munday, Fred Tripp, Dean Allen and a second for Hancock.

Woodley United are due to host Wallingford Town in the first round of the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy on Saturday (3pm), before hosting AFC Aldermaston in the Banbury Litho Floodlit Challenge Cup next Monday (7.45pm).

Aldermaston enjoyed a 3-1 home league victory against Chalvey Sports last Saturday, substitute Monay Mills-Chandler grabbing a hat-trick while Ayden Christian-Coomber netted for the visitors.

Aldermaston host Binfield in the FA Vase on Saturday (3pm).

In the Premier Division, Matt Stockill bagged a brace as Reading City drew 2-2 at Royal Wootton Bassett on Saturday.

He put the Citizens in front from the spot midway through the first half, only for Callum Parsons to level after the break.

Stockill put the away side back in front on 70 minutes, but with time running out, a Caine Bradbury free-kick ensured the spoils were shared.

City were beaten 3-1 at home by Penn & Tylers Green in the Challenge Cup on Monday, McKoy Palmer netting for the hosts.

Reading City visit Abingdon United in the Vase on Saturday.
