HOLYPORT recovered from falling two goals behind to beat Unite UK 3-2 in the first qualifying round of the FA Vase on Saturday, writes Rob Stevens.

Goals from Jamie Parker and Jordan Cole gave Unite UK from the Spartan South Midlands League a clear lead heading into the break at Summerleaze. Port fought back to win the tie after the break thanks to a brace from Andy Forisky and a Wes Sutherland strike.

Holyport return to action in Hellenic Division One East with a trip to Milton United on Tuesday (7.45pm) and then Kidlington Town Development this Saturday (3pm).

Chalvey Sports made their first-ever appearance in the FA Vase but suffered a 1-0 defeat against Wembley on Sunday.

A goal in the first half from Stefan Ebonine ensured the team from the Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division won the tie at Arbour Park.

The Stabmonks return to action with a trip across Berkshire to AFC Aldermaston in Division One East this Saturday (3pm).

Langley also made their debut in the national competition but exited following a 4-3 defeat after extra time against league rivals Long Crendon.

Goals from Christian Warwick and James Hawkes gave Long Crendon a clear lead heading into the break, but Langley levelled the scores in normal time thanks to a Jahdd Thomas strike plus a Nathan Brownsword own goal.

Martin Griggs scored twice for the home team in extra time before Conrad Joseph pulled one back late on in the additional 30-minute period.

Langley make the trip to Wallingford Town in Division One East this Saturday (3pm).
