ASCOT United bounced back from their midweek FA Cup exit at the hands of Badshot Lea with a 2-0 victory at Redhill in the Premier Division.

They created a number of early chances with Callum Carlisle and Ben Hodges, twice, going close in the first half-hour and Usman Lalustani struck a post.

It came as no surprise when they took the lead through Ian Davies, who beat his marker before slotting home two minutes before the interval.

Davies went close to scoring again in the second half, but the Yellamen were left stunned when Redhill equalised midway through the period as Evan Lopes whipped a shot in from the left.

The result could have gone either way, but it was Ascot who took all three points thanks to James Richardson, who curled the ball home from 20 yards with eight minutes to play.

On Tuesday of last week, Ascot had lost 2-1 to Badshot Lea in their FA Cup extra preliminary round replay.

They took a 27th-minute lead through Harry Laflin after Louis Bouwers' header had been cleared off the line.

But Meshach Williams equalised after 67 minutes and three minutes later substitute Nic Ciardini rifled home the winner.

Ascot will be seeking to make it four league wins in succession when they travel to Raynes Park Vale this Saturday.

Sam Green scored the solitary goal as unbeaten Sandhurst inflicted Chessington and Hook United's first defeat of the season in Division One.

His winner came shortly after half-time when he headed home a well-placed corner from Luke Cox.

The Fizzers, with seven points from their first three games, visit Farnham Town this Saturday and then next Monday take on local rivals Eversley & California at Bottom Meadow (11.30am).

The Boars suffered their third defeat in as many games when going down 3-0 to Kensington & Ealing Borough last Saturday, the goals coming in the 26th, 31st and 57th minutes.

Last night (Tuesday) Eversley were scheduled to visit Hythe & Dibden in the Hampshire Senior Cup and this Saturday they are home to Bagshot.
