BRACKNELL Town Colts defeated local rivals FC Bracknell in the Under 14s cup final at the Farnborough Town Tournament last weekend.
They took an early 2-0 lead, only for FC to hit back to equalise and take the tie into a penalty shoot-out. Both sides scored three times, so it went to sudden death, where William Daniels clinched it for the Reds.
Their earlier scorers were William Thorndike and Ollie Davies, Ben Clarke bagging for FC, who had reached the final without conceding a goal on a day they had Sam English making his debut in goal.
During the group games, James Harlock scored twice, his first goals for the club in eight years, with Ollie Clark netting a hat-trick along the way.
Coached by Lee Barefoot and Mikey Blume, the FC squad comprised Joshua Barefoot, James Harlock, Oliver Clarke, Alex Livingston, English, Thomas Blume and Clarke.
Meanwhile, FC Bracknell U14s Youth won the plate final at Farnborough to follow up their win at the recent Woodley Saints tournament.
They defeated Badshot Lea in the final with Callum Gaskin, Kyle Wallbanks, Aaron Fletcher and Oliver Cannon all on the score sheet.
Dan Powell, Jack Leigh, Jamie Graham and Bojan Kostadinovska completed the team, who were coached by Neil Graham.
