Reading are interested in signing Swedish international winger Hosam Aiesh from Ostersunds FK, according to reports.

Ian Burchnall – the manager of Swedish side Ostersunds FK – has said that interest in Aiesh is continuing to grow.

It has been reported over the past few weeks that Leeds United are among the sides keeping an eye on Ostersunds FK’s Swedish winger Hosam Aiesh. Fellow Championship sides Nottingham Forest and Reading have also been credited with interest in the 24-year-old as well, joining Leeds in watching Aiesh during a game against GIF Sundsvall.

Now, speaking to Fotboll Direkt, Ostersunds manager Ian Burchnall has said that interest is continuing to grow in Hosam Aiesh, adding he expects to hear from several big clubs soon.

Burchnall said: “He’s coming back today, so it has nothing to do with the rumours with other clubs. But this interest is of course increasing, and I expect to hear from several big clubs in the coming weeks.”

Right winger Aiesh has played eight games for Ostersunds so far, scoring one goal and providing two assists along the way. In his time with the club formerly managed by ex-Swansea boss Graham Potter, the 24-year-old has played 106 times, scoring 14 times and providing 23 assists.

The Swedish winger will not be allowed to leave the club on the cheap this summer. The club turned down an offer of €2 million last summer, Fotboll Direkt says, hinting at the kind of money Ostersunds will be demanding for Aiesh.

Aiesh is looking for a fresh challenge having spent his entire career playing in Sweden, could Leeds United, Nottingham Forest or Reading look to give him a chance to prove himself in the Championship?
