SANDHURST came from two goals down to beat local rivals Eversley & California 3-2 in the Combined Counties League last weekend.

Jordan Goater, with a sweet left-footer, fired the Boars ahead on 12 minutes and Ross McKernan doubled their lead 15 minutes later.

Goater went close to adding another before Paul Rake opened the Fizzers' account when he raced on to a well-judged through ball from Ashley Ledger, making it 2-1 at half-time.

The introduction of Carl Prestidge at right-back led to Sandhurst upping the tempo in the second half, but it wasn't until the 81st minute when Charlie Oakley brought the scores level from a chance set up by Pat Gardner.

Eversley had a goal ruled out for offside before Oakley grabbed the winner in stoppage time after keeper Louis Hoptroff had done well to block the initial shot.

Eighth-placed Sandhurst, who were due to host British Airways last night (Tuesday) visit Farnham Town this Saturday and then next Tuesday (7.45pm ko) they play Bagshot at Fleet Town.

Eversley have slipped to second bottom of Division 1, just a point better off than Cove with a game in hand. They take on Frimley Green at the ESA ground this coming Saturday.

Wokingham & Emmbrook return to Division 1 East action this Saturday when they visit AFC Aldermaston, who are second in the table, 10 points behind Burnham with two games in hand.

The hosts are unbeaten in their last nine league and cup games, and their most recent home games produced wins of 8-0, 4-0, 5-0 and 6-1.

The latter result came against Wallingford Town, the side Wokingham were due to visit in the quarter-finals of the Reading Senior Cup last night (Tuesday).
