IN Division One, Hari Gehlot and Sagar Sawant were both undefeated as Kingfisher A beat two-man Kennet Valley Free Church A 9-1.

Second placed Kingfisher b won a two-versus-two match against Sonning Common & Peppard C 7-2, Richard Rosinski just getting the batter of Sonning Common’s Denise Weller.

Phil Mead’s three-straight treble saw Kingfisher C just hold off in-form Curzon Club A to win 6-4, while maximums from Neil Hurford and Joe Barraclough saw Sonning Common & Peppard A win 9-1 at Tidmarsh A.

Milestone A are on the brink of relegation after their two-man team lost 10-0 at Tidmarsh B, Lee Calcutt, Tony Baker and Ray Webb with fine trebles for Tidmarsh.

Keith Winter’s hat-trick and a useful double from Jes Eassom saw Tilehurst Methodists A defeat Division Two leaders Springfield A 7-3.

However, the three points gained by Springfield were enough to clinch promotion to next season’s top flight.

Milestone B edged closer to promotion after winning 8-2 at Our Lady of Peace B, Graham Mendick and Jingshun Huang both getting maximums.

Pangbourne WMC saw their good recent form continue as they beat Our Lady of Peace C 8-2 with another treble from John Simmonds.

Clive Perry starred with a maximum as Our Lady of Peace A beat Sonning Common & Peppard D.

In Division Three, Ian Wu was the star for Tidmarsh C by gaining a hat-trick against Kingfisher G to help his team towards a 5-5 draw.

For Kingfisher this was their sixth drawn match of the season.

Terry Hardie and Dave Edwards both won three each as Tidmarsh D won 7-3 at Curzon Club C, while Springfield B took a huge step towards clinching promotion by beating bottom side Kingfisher H 9–1 with Seth Martin and Peter Gurney both hitting trebles.

The result of the week saw Our Lady of Peace D win 10-0 at Sonning Sports B, Graham Stark, Mark Carless and reserve Ralph Phillips the maximum men to leave the Sports men still deep in relegation trouble.

Tilehurst Methodists B have almost clinched the championship after beating Springfield C 8–2 with Nigel Rowland and Martin Wetherell unbeaten, while Sonning Common & Peppard E gained six vital points at the bottom by winning 6-4 at Reading FC A, Melvyn Lovegrove and Derek Brooke Wavell both winning two each.

Division Four leaders Our Lady of Peace E thrashed fellow contenders Tilehurst Methodists C 9-1 to give them a big advantage at the top going into the last few matches of the season, the victory courtesy of trebles from Ralph Philips and Alona Slobodskoy with Roy Hull’s defeat of Chris Bunn avoiding the whitewash. Sonning Common & Peppard G won a close match against Kennet Valley Free Church B 6-4 with Anthony Reeve beating Steve Christelow in the final set, which not only won the match, but determined who went home undefeated.

The Commoners other points were thanks to a double from Jim Warren and a single from David Pearson, while Toby Barter chipped in with a single and partnered Christelow to a doubles win.

Kingfisher I defeated Springfield E 8-2, Sandeep Burande and Roger Prew again both undefeated.

Springfield D lost 8-2 to Reading FC B, for whom Joe Bull and Harry Edwards both recorded maximums.

Sonning Sports C were beaten 7-3 by Tidmarsh E, Jude O’Halloran defeating both Pete Sinclair and John Harland, as well as partnering Mo Cole to a doubles victory, while Steve Andrews recorded a further maximum for Tidmarsh.
