MAURITZ Glazener bagged a brace, but South Berkshire men's disappointing run in MBBO Regional Two continued with a 4-2 away reverse against Oxford 2nds on Saturday, writes Richard Ashton.

The third-bottom side have now won only one of their past 11 league games, leaving them locked in a relegation battle with a third of the season remaining.

Henry Jones, Matt Williams-Ellis and Ari Wytwornic replied for West Hampstead, but their efforts proved in vain.

In Division Three, Tom Scott moved back to the top of the goalscoring charts as his double earned South Berkshire 3rds a 2-2 draw at West Hampstead 4ths.

Scott now has 22 goals in a productive campaign, but Gareth Gainer and David Mortimer struck to earn the hosts a share of the spoils.

Second-placed South Berkshire 4ths saw their Division Eight West promotion hopes suffer a setback with a 3-2 home defeat to fellow top-two hopefuls Henley 4ths, while South Berkshire Terriers were thumped 6-0 at runaway leaders Wallingford 4ths.

South Berkshire ladies dropped to fifth in Premier Division One of the Trysports Three Counties League after being leapfrogged by conquerors Oxford Hawks 3rds 3-1.

Helen Mcall, Samantha Jacobs and Rosie Mcewen-Smith were the destroyers-in-chief for the Hawks.

South Berkshire travel to Marlow 2nds this coming Saturday (3pm).

In Division One, South Berkshire 2nds remain second in the standings after picking up a hard-earned point from a 0-0 draw at Windsor.

Division Three champions elect South Berkshire 3rds made it 15 wins from 16 games after overcoming Marlow 5ths 2-0 at Cantley Park, while in Division Four, South Berkshire 4ths slumped to the foot of the table after losing 3-0 at Wycombe 4ths.

Emily Westwood, Dawn Midwinter and Hafsah Azam got the goals for the home team, who jumped to 10th having been bottom of the table before the game.
