WOODLEY United were edged out 4-3 in a seven-goal Hellenic League Division One East thriller at Penn & Tylers Green on Tuesday night.

Toby Briggs missed an early chance to put the visitors in front when his fifth-minute effort went just wide, and Penn made their opponents pay with a scorching shop into the top corner on 19 minutes.

The Kestrels hit back, however, and Pablo Fernandez levelled on 29 minutes before a brilliant solo goal from Max Laschok put his side in front shortly after.

The home side levelled just before the break and the two sides went into the interval locked at 2-2 following an entertaining first stanza.

Penn took the lead 13 minutes into the second half, only for Chace Jewell to equalise with six minutes remaining.

However, the hosts snatched a last-gasp victory in injury-time, with their goals coming from Raju Pritpal (2), Joe Dulieu and Rashid Hamid.

The Kestrels’ trip to Didcot Town Development was postponed due to the snow on Saturday.

Woodley United visit Wallingford Town in the league on Saturday, before hosting Fleet in the Aldershot Senior Cup on Tuesday.

AFC Aldermaston’s home game with Holyport was postponed on Saturday.

The Atom Men visit Milton United on Saturday (3pm), before hosting Abingdon Town in the Subsidiary Cup last 16.

Reading City’s Premier Division game at home to Holmer Green was also postponed on Monday night.

Simon Johnson’s men welcome Flackwell Heath to Rivermoor on Saturday (3pm).

BINFIELD striker Eddie Lee scored for Berks & Bucks Under 18s when they lost 4-2 to Manchester FA in a thrilling FA County Youth Cup quarter-final tie on Sunday.

His goal made it 1-1, but the hosts opened up a three-goal lead before James Henry cut the deficit 10 minutes from time.
