WOKINGHAM & Emmbrook are setting their sights on two long runs in two Reading Invitation Cup competitions.

In the Senior Cup, which they have won previously on a number of occasions, they will be away to Wallingford Town in the quarter-finals, providing they overcome Burghfield first.

They were scheduled to visit Thames Valley League side Burghfield last Saturday, but the bad weather meant a postponement.

In the Junior Cup, the Sumas Reserves are through to the last 16 and due to host Berks County Reserves this coming Saturday.

The senior side were scheduled to visit Flackwell Heath last night (Tuesday) in the Perpetua Press Floodlit Cup before hosting Holyport on Saturday in Division One East of the Hellenic League.

Ascot United, who were due to entertain Langley in the Perpetua Press Cup last night, take on Tuffley Rovers in a Hellenic League Premier Division fixture this coming Saturday.

Binfield were scheduled to visit Brimscombe & Thrupp in the Floodlit Cup yesterday (Tuesday), and the two sides will meet again in the league at Hill Farm Lane on Saturday.

The Moles then go to Windsor next Tuesday (7.45pm) looking for three Premier Division points.

The Hellenic League called off the whole of last weekend's programme due to the snow and ice, while very few Combined Counties League fixtures survived the wintry weather.

Sandhurst Town – scheduled to play Knaphill in the Aldershot Senior Cup last night (Tuesday) – are home to Spartan South Midlands League Division Two side Old Bradwell United in the semi-finals of the Berks & Bucks Senior Trophy this Saturday. The winners will meet Marlow United or Newbury in the final.

Eversley & California will be looking to return to action at Godalming this weekend and next Tuesday (7.45pm) they face a Southern Combination Cup tie at Hanworth Villa.

l BINFIELD striker Eddie Lee scored for Berks & Bucks Under 18s when they lost 4-2 to Manchester FA in a thrilling FA County Youth Cup quarter-final tie at Hyde |United on Sunday.

His goal made it 1-1, but a very strong home side then opened up a three-goal lead before Maidenhead United's James Henry cut the deficit 10 minutes from time.

Manchester visit Liverpool in the semi-finals.
