FC Bracknell

FC Bracknell U14s are through to the EBFA U14s League Cup final after defeating rivals Bracknell Town Colts 3-0.

Darren Makepeace opened the scoring after 15 minutes and shortly afterwards Oliver Clarke doubled their lead. The Blues and Whites had to weather strong pressure, during which keeper Josh Barefoot made some fine saves, but added a third goal when Jamie Graham set up Clarke for his second goal of the tie. The man of the match award went to the whole team who will face Caversham in the final.

The U14s Youth, who boast a 100 per cent record, went a goal down before hitting back to beat Sandhurst 4-1 thanks to Oliver Cannon, Kenny Wackrill and two Kyle Wallbanks headers, both assisted by Kyle Buchler. Birthday boy Taylor Hornbrook was the man of the match for a

solid performance.

FCB U13s Colts lost 6-1 to Marlow in their cup quarter-final, their only goal coming from Dylan Veck, while man of the match was Ethan Callaway.

U12s Youth defeated Hearts of Teddlothian, from the division above them, 2-1 in the quarter-finals of the EBFA Cup with Krisey netting both their goals, while their man of the match award went to Riley Morgan.

There was a hat-trick for Lewis Hunt as FCB U12s Colts beat Maidenhead Magpies 4-1 in a friendly and out 4 past the Magpies. Charlie Pheby added the other goal with Ollie Bunce their man of the match.

U11s Youth reached the semi-finals of the U11s Shield with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Pinewood Predators. They fell behind to Pinewood’s only shot of the first quarter being rifled into the net from outside the box. In the second quarter, Connor Johnston slotted home the equaliser. Pinewood regained the lead but FCB equalised through a penalty from Alfie Alder-Warrington before Billy Thorne notched a late winner to complete an excellent performance from the whole team.

In an U15s game, FCB Youth came from two goals down at half-time to draw 2-2 against Finchampstead thanks to a brace from Louis Anthony.

Frankie McCarthy scored a consolation goal and Tom Frazer was their man of the match as FCB U12s went down 7-1 to Langley Hornets.

U11 Youth progressed through to the Semi Finals of the Shield with a hard-fought victory over Pinewood Predators.

Pinewood took the lead with their only shot of the first quarter being rifled into the net from outside the box.

In the second quarter Connor Johnston calmly slotted home the equaliser. Pinewood again took the lead in the final quarter only for the Youth to battle back with a penalty from Alfie Alder-Warrington and a late winner on the break from Billy Thorne. The entire team were man of the match and progress to the semi-final.

Bracknell Athletic

GOALKEEPER Joel Kirby starred for Bracknell Athletic Under 15 Bombers as they beat Reading City 1-0 thanks to an Alex Vincent strike with 20 minutes remaining.

Centre back Ben Rodriguez was man-of-the-match for the Bracknell Athletic Devils as they lost 3-0 at South Reading, while Alfie Mann impressed for the U7 Tornadoes in their game with Wargrave Wolves Stripes.

Lewis Yates was in top form for the U8 Colts as they went down 2-0 to Shinfield.

The U14 Youth hit back from 3-0 down to level matters at Caversham AFC Knights, only to concede two further goals in a 5-3 reverse.

Thomas Sussex, Adam Mendham and Fabio Vitagliano were the goalscorers while man-of-the-match was awarded to George Amoah for his effort and determination.

Stand-out performer Jamie Devlin netted for the U17 Spitfires in their 7-2 loss to Pinewood Panthers, Arslan Mehmood adding a wonder-goal in defeat.

Girl-of-the-day Ruby Budd showed her class as the U8 Rockettes took part in a tournament with Goring Robins, Wargrave Wolverines and Tilehurst.

Bracknell Town

SIX different players were on the scoresheet as Bracknell Town Youth U9s edged home 6-5 in a thriller against Chipstead Youth Greens.

Omar Nashaat, Jacob Parsons-Young, Ben Paul, Presley McClurg, Ollie Collins and Harry Phillips were all on target.

Town Robins U10s defeated

Isleworth Reds 4-2 thanks to a Rudy Steinborn-Busse brace along with a goal apiece from Sam Lynskey and Lucas Dhaka.

BTFC Youth U10s proved too strong for Motspur Park, easing home 7-1 with goals from Joseph Callow (2), Ethan Digweed (2), Ollie Pompei, Harvey Nash and Sidney Moore.

A goal from Harry Pashley earned U11s Robins a 1-1 draw with Walton Casuals Hounds.

The scorers for BTFC U12s in their 4-2 victory against Curley Park were Quincy Patterson, Milo Swanton. Harry Dutson and Carter Bowdery.

Bracknell U13s beat Leatherhead Swans 2-1 away in the Premier Division to extend their unbeaten run to eight league games.

They are joint top of the table with Badshot Lea, both on 18 points after eight games.

Tommy Delaney, with two goals, Aiden Archer and Sonny Gooch netted as BTFC U7s held hosts Old Ruts to a 4-4 draw.

In a U8s game, Bracknell lost 7-2 at Barnes Eagles, their goals coming from Ollie Warburton and Alfie White.

Ascot United

FRANZ Meyer scored all four goals to inspire Ascot United Under 18 Royals to a 4-2 success against Shinfield.

A Robbie Smith penalty and a Tom Philpot strike were not enough for the U18 Aces, who were edged out 3-2 by Wokingham & Emmbrook, but braces from Simran Karia and Phoebe Goodley, allied to a Lauren Turk effort, helped the U18 Diamonds hammer Beechcolme 5-1.

Harry Chambers was man-of-the-match and Ben Alderman, Ryan Griffiths and Ben Hefferman got on the scoresheet, but the U16 Eagles lost 5-3 to Hartley Wintney Junior Hawks.

Star performer William Rapley and Harvey Williams and Josh Norman scored as U16 Racing drew 3-3 with Meadow Sports, while the U15 Hornets downed Hearts of Teddlothian Tigers 2-0.

A Josh Smith hat-trick – including two penalties – helped the U15 Youth overcome Winslow United Juniors 3-1 in the quarter-finals of the County Cup, but the U14 Aces were savaged 11-0 by Rotherfield United Jets.

The U13 Raiders won an 11-goal thriller 6-5 against Ashridge Park Royals, while the U13 Chargers had an easier assignment as they brushed aside Hearts of Teddlothian Pumas 6-0.

Ailsa Sheppard, Seren Smith, Ella Davey, Clemmie Day and Rory Dean were the U13 Diamonds’ goalscorers in their 5-3 triumph against Milford Pumas.

An Oliver Hallas brace and goals from Arvind Mahil, Jonathan Makepeace and Luke Andrews guided U12 Royals to a 5-2 success against Windsor Youth Merlins Vulcans.

The U12 Racing beat Laurel Park Hurricanes 3-2. Ascot United U7 Racing smashed Pinewood Polecats 5-1.
