TILEHURST Albion outgunned Barkham Athletic as they ran out 7-3 winners to stay joint top-of-the-table alongside YMCA Newbury.

Harvey Owen was the star of the show, as he scored twice and assisted three goals for Albion, while George Galvin, Toby Briggs, Ian Golbourne and Ben Chuchyard were also on target for the away side.

YMCA Newbury kept up the pressure on Tilehurst as they moved joint top with a hard-fought 4-2 win over Norreys.

Despite Dan Searle netting a brace on his debut for Norreys, it was Newbury who ran out winners, with Karim Gaye, Patrick Nelligan, Sam Phillips and Jon McCann all on the scoresheet for the visitors, who were behind at half time.

Bethel United are still in the hunt for the title as they beat Wycliffe United 2-1 at Prospect Park.

Sid Abu's brace proved to be enough for Bethel as they moved three points behind the league leaders.

Seb Carter was on target for Wycliffe, but was unable to stop Bethel taking three points. Bethel have two games in hand on Tilehurst and will be hoping they can win those to go top.

Stuart Stannard's second-half goal proved to be enough for Brookside St Laurence as they picked up a crucial three points against West Reading to move above Norreys in the league table, although the Wokingham-based side have two games in hand on Brookside.

Reading Saints overcame a tough YMCA United side as they won 2-1 in Newbury.

Two goals from Andrew Campbell proved to be the difference between the two sides, with Will Brennan on hand to provide Campbell with two assists for his brace.

Tom Young netted YMCA's only goal of the game.
