SOUTH Berkshire men slipped to seventh in the MBBO Regional Two table after losing a seven-goal thriller 4-3 at home to Oxford 2nds, writes Richard Ashton.

Tom King bagged a brace to move top of the division’s goalscorers chart with eight, while Mauritz Glazener was also on target for the home side.

However, two goals from Dan Bleach and further strikes from William Meacher and James Rayward ensured Oxford took all three points.

South Berkshire are at home to Milton Keynes 2nds this coming Saturday.

In Division Two, mid-table South Berkshire 2nds earned a 2-2 draw at West Hampstead 3rds.

Paul Kaplinski and Daniel Ray got the goals for the away side, with Andy Cooling and Thibault Hidalgo replying for West Hampstead.

Tom Scott scored twice for South Berkshire 3rds, but they lost 3-2 at home to West Hampstead 4ths in Division Three.

Goals from Raj Bahra, Ed Barraclough and Matt Williams-Ellis did the damage for the London-based side.

South Berkshire 4ths climbed to third in Division Eight West after they beat Henley 4ths 4-2, but South Berkshire Terriers were beaten 5-2 at home to Wallingford 4ths.

In Premier Division One of the Trysports Three Counties League, South Berkshire ladies were beaten 3-0 at Oxford Hawks 3rds, Victoria Sauven and Megan Minton among the goalscorers for the home side.

Sixth-placed South Berkshire travel to basement side Wallingford on Saturday.

Division One table-toppers South Berkshire 2nds were held to a 2-2 draw at home to Windsor, while South Berkshire 3rds kept up their excellent start to the Division Three campaign, easing to a convincing 5-1 success at Marlow 5ths.

South Berkshire 4ths remain bottom of Division Four, although they did pick up a third point of the season after playing out a 0-0 stalemate at home to second-bottom Wycombe 4ths.
