CAVERSHAM Heath ladies ended their 14-year wait to beat the club’s seniors in their annual match, securing a 3½-1½ victory.

Despite club captain Steve Woolaway, looking fetching in his pink sweater, helping the ladies to the win, they put in a great performance and thoroughly deserved their win.

Will Tate is the 2018 scratch matchplay knockout champion after beating Matt Jones in the final.

The inaugural Caversham Heath Corporate Cup is being staged at the club on Thursday, October 25.

It costs just £80 per team of four (includes tea, coffee and a bacon roll, golf and a meal afterwards), and offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy a day’s golf and networking and perhaps to pick up some prizes or a trophy.
