MAN-OF-THE-MATCH Jake Carter and Adam Mendham both scored twice as Bracknell Athletic Under 14 Youth claimed glory 7-5 in a stunning 12-goal thriller against Caversham Knights.

The other goals came from Fabio Vitagliano, Brandon Woodhouse and Abraham Obinkwo, while goalkeeper Kye Osborne pulled off a brilliant penalty save.

Shot-stopper Alfie Budd was the stand-out performer for the U15 Bombers, but they went down 6-3 to Reading City, despite goals from Alex Vincent, Lewis Lancaster and Billy Wooden.

The U18 Spitfires slipped to a 4-2 defeat to Pinewood Panthers, with goalkeeper Joe Gaffney producing an inspired display.

Despite losing two players to injury in the first half, Spitfires kept the game scoreless until the break, only for two quick Pinewood goals to make it 2-0 early in the second stanza.

However, a quick-fire double from Owen McConnell and Harry Clabburn levelled matters, only for a further goal and a last-minute penalty gave Pinewood the win.

The U16 Devils lost 2-1 to South Reading despite going in front early on courtesy of a fine goal from man-of-the-match Owen Gigg, who collected an excellent through ball from David Ulimas before firing home.

A stunning hat-trick from man-of-the-match Harvey Cecil and a goal from Sheehan Haque inspired the U15 Jaguars to a 4-1 victory against Laurel Park Whirlwinds.

Assists for the Jaguars came from Michael Turner and Benji Mancini.

Star performer Daniel Benson got on the scoresheet along with Tommy Harper and Harry Little in the hard-working U8 Blades’ encounter with Bracknell Town Colts.
