In their first home game of the season at Rivermead Leisure Centre, Reading Rockets entertained the Welsh national team in a thrilling encounter, with the host side emerging victorious by a 17-point margin.
A new-look senior men's line-up made their Rivermead debut in front of an enthusiastic crowd, with the Rockets launching the senior careers of four 16-year-old youngsters.
The Rockets’ two new American signings, Trae Pemberton and AJ Carr, were top scorers with 26 and 17 points respectively.
Irish cousins, Adrian and Ronan O’Sullivan, showed the key roles they will be playing in the senior men's squad, with Rockets’ captain Danny Carter dominant on the boards.
Up next for Rockets is a trip to Thames Valley Cavaliers in the National Trophy on Sunday, September 30.
They launch their National Basketball League 1 campaign with a home clash against Derby Trailblazers at Rivermead on Saturday, October 6.
