Uniformed sea, air and police cadets, scouts, guides and schools joined with representatives from the public and voluntary sector on Sunday as Slough's held its annual Act of Remembrance for people who fought for freedom.
The ceremony started at 10.45am in the Town Square with a Drumhead Service at 10.55am leading up to the two minute silence.
The procession then travelled to St Mary’s Church in Church Street, where half an hour later a civic Service of Remembrance led up to the wreath laying ceremony.
The outdoor nature of the occasion benefitted from a bright, sunlit day which ensured a good public turn out for the solemn occasion.
The Mayor of Slough, Cllr Avtar Kaur Cheema, led the annual Act of Remembrance.
She said: "We must never forget the courage and bravery of the men and women who have served our country and we honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you to everyone who attended to pay their respects."
