The thinking behind major changes to the road layout in Langley will be explained by Slough Borough Council's major project manager at a public meeting to be held in the village next week.

The meeting of the Langley Neighbourhood Forum is being held on Tuesday at Langley Hall Primary Academy in Station Road starting 7pm.

It will give the public a unique chance to grill Yu Sing-Wai, the council's major project manager, on the replacement of the roundabout by traffic lights at the Harrow Market Junction where Langley Road, Station Road and High Street meet.

The changes, currently being implemented, also include include widening and resurfacing as well as alterations near the junction of Meadfield Road and High Street.

Mr Yu will also answer questions on other issues relating to traffic arrangements in the Langley area. There has been pressure in Langley and Iver for the construction of a new relief road to avoid the congestion expected in the Harrow Market area and other roads in Langley if and when Chequers Bridge is closed for the construction and operation of the Western Rail Access to Heathrow. and periods when the M4 is closed for the development of the smart Motorway.
