Firefighters and paramedics rescued a man impaled on a seven foot metal gate in railings at Windsor Eton Riverside station soon after midnight this morning.
The team from Langley fire station, a paramedic team leader in a rapid response vehicle, an ambulance and the Thames Valley Air Ambulance emergency response vehicle all worked together to release the man.
The man - who is believed to have tried to climb over the barrier - had not sustained a serious injury and was treated initially at the scene before being taken to Wexham Park hospital.
