Two drop-in sessions are going to be held to offer Maidenhead residents the opportunity to find out more about how regeneration will change the appearance of the town.

The aim of the sessions is to provide business owners and residents with information about the sites in the town that will be developed as well as changes to the road networks and the front of the train station.

Between 1 – 7pm on 1 March and 10am – 4pm on 2 March, people are being invited to drop into the former Next unit in the Nicholsons shopping centre to find out more.

Hub, Countryside and Shanly will be at the event to answer any questions about their respective developments. Images and models of the schemes will be available for attendees to view.

Information on the improvements to the forecourt at the train station will be provided at the event by Project Centre. They will also offer information about the two-way changes of Broadway; the six improved junction works and the missing link cycle work.

Councillor Simon Dudley, leader of the council and lead member for Maidenhead regeneration and Maidenhead, says: “This will be an informative event for residents of the town as well as those who work in the town to find out about the changing face of Maidenhead.

“It is important that we share details of all these schemes via as many different channels as possible so people are aware of what changes will take place and when.

Councillor Phill Bicknell, lead member for highways, transport and Windsor, says: “We have recently received significant funding from the Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for a variety of transport improvements.

“It is important that we share with residents and people who work in Maidenhead how this work, that has been modelled by highways engineers, may impact of their daily routine.”
