A Maidenhead café has enjoyed a boost in hygiene rankings, having previously been ranked as a one for hygiene.
Strawberry Grove had received the original rating following a visit by the Food Standards Agency two days after the opening of the restaurant. The eateries owners were in the process of sorting the relevant paperwork but were awarded a 1-star rating as a result of the paperwork not being formalised in time.
The owners have worked extensively on improving their ranking and following the hard work of the staff the food standards agency have amended their ranking to a five.
Director Stuart Downs said: “I am happy to say that today the officer revisited our premises and was extremely happy with the changes we have made, the level of food hygiene and clear paperwork in place. Therefore, she had no hesitation in awarding us 5 stars.”
