Prospective foster parents have bene invited to an event at Slough’s Arbour Park tonight.
The event will focus on giving people information about the Slough Children’s Services Trust, who are running the event, and about what becoming a foster parent will entail.
The service are also keen to break down misconceptions surrounding the requirements to become a foster parent. Despite certain myths, foster carers can be:
• Single, married or divorced
• Living with a disability
• Of any sexual orientation
• Of any ethnic origin or religion
• Renting or owning your own home
• A parent living with your own children
• Childless
