A GARDEN centre near Wokingham is set to expand with new plans to build an extension to its store.
Ashridge Manor garden centre, on Forest Road just north of Wokingham, has asked for permission to build a single storey extension to its sales area.
The garden centre has been there for about 40 years, and under the current ownership since 1987.

Because the site is larger than a hectare, the application will go to councillors at Wokingham Borough Council to decide.
Councillors on the planning committee will consider the application at a public meeting on May 9, when they will then decide whether to grant planning permission. The meeting will be livestreamed on YouTube.
Ashridge Manor garden centre started off originally as a farm, then with a canopy over the sales area, before constructing the current shop building.
Brian O’Donovan, a council planning officer, recommended councillors approve the plans.
