ARBORFIELD and Barkham residents will have yet another chance to vote in the new year after planning bosses confirmed proposals for a referendum on development in the parishes.
The Arborfield and Barkham Neighbourhood Plan, which will help Wokingham Borough Council (WBC) determine planning applications in this area, will be put to a public vote on 6 February 2020.

Policies on housing, open space, community facilties and more are contained within the plan, which was put to consultation in the summer.
An examiner advised the plan should be put to a referendum before it is adopted, meaning residents will get a chance to vote on these policies in the coming months.

The poll will cost WBC £20,000 but the authority will be able to claim this money back from the government.
