An incident occurred where a woman ran her car through a fence and into the wall of a building.

Thames Valley Police have confirmed that there was a collision before 11:40 am Saturday April 27 outside a centre where over 80s were getting their booster jabs.

A bystander at the scene said "I came across this incident on Saturday morning outside Swallowfield Village Hall, where over 80s were having their Covid booster jab.

"A lady driver reversed through the fence across the road and into the wall of a house."

The photograph of the blue car in the car park shows the extent of the damage that was done to the woman's car as a result of the crash.

Three police vehicles and an ambulance attended the scene to make sure that the driver was okay as well as helping other elderly patients.

The woman was subsequently treated inside the hall by the ambulance staff as well as those who were administering the Covid vaccinations.

The bystander continued: "The incident happened some time before 11.40am on Saturday morning. It was pretty shocking to see for all who were at the scene.

"I hope the lady is okay now, she seemed as if she was being looked after well by the staff."

Thames Valley Police said "This was a damage only collision.

"As per our policy, we don’t give further details about road traffic collisions unless the enquiry is about a press release we have published or the RTC is causing significant traffic issues."
